CL-600 Autoflight Control System

An autopilot is a device for correcting an aircraft when it deviates from some preselected reference line. The autopilot essentially provides “muscle” to control the aircraft in the pitch and roll axes according to a basic attitude reference or modes selected on the coupled flight director system.
